Bad Advice
If you think life's been rough 'til now,
Let me tell you, son, you ain't seen nuthin' yet.
Maybe you think you'll wake up tomorrow,
You'll get up, and everything will go right.
You won't have to go to school;
You won't have to worry about food,
Or clothes -- or shelter for that matter.
You'll have a high-paying job
With lots of benefits and paid vacations.
Well, life ain't that simple.Forty-five years ago, I had dreams of that character.
Now, I know about life.
She'll kick you right in the pants, yes sir.
You'll more than likely wake up one morning --
You'll wish you were still in school;
You'll wish you had some kind of food,
And clothes -- and shelter for that matter.
You'll wish you had any kind of job,
Even if it ain't got no benefits or vacation at all.
That's the way life really is.
And if you don't believe me, you're in for a big surprise."Good, I love surprises."
