Belief

I saw the scars on your hands;
you let me touch your side and feet.
But I did not believe.

You took me back in time;
I saw your anguish as they nailed you to the cross.
I still did not believe.

The crowd and soldiers laughed at you;
in silence, you bore it all.
Even then, I did not believe.

I heard your voice from the cross;
you asked Him to forgive us all.
Yet, I did not believe.

Finally, you took me in to hug;
I felt love's warmth from deep inside your soul.
Only then did I believe.
