Strength in Numbers

When God created Adam, His work was hardly done.
For how could this be Paradise if Adam was alone?
So God created woman, Eve, to be by Adam's side.
The two could help each other through life's sometimes bumpy ride.

And when God chose to send the flood to start His world anew,
He brought each living creature to the Ark in groups of two.
It seems that in God's Paradise, it's two that's the ideal,
Each one working side by side to comfort, nurture, heal.

You see, God knows when two people try carrying a stone,
Together, they'll lift several times what either could alone.
It's like the two small candles, which alone cast little light,
But when they're held together, the flame is oh, so bright.

So what do all these stories have to do with us, my dear?
I wanted you to know that you're my strength in numbers, Svir.
If someone asked me to explain paradise, I'd say,
"It's moments spent with my Marie, each and every day."
