The Dawn

A certain innocence comes with the dawn,
When shadows appear in the dew-laden sky.
As darkness slowly lightens to day,
A breeze gently comforts the air.

But shadows change to familiar forms;
The temperatures rise; the breeze fades away.
Like dew, the innocence soon dissipates,
As humankind wakens once more.
